About eCosway Group

eCosway’s headquarters is located in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. It is a multi-national company with purchasers, goods suppliers and property owners (direct distributors) from all over the world. Besides the parent company, another key holder of eCosway is MOL.COM (a company listed on Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange).

MOL.COM provides professional technology for internet system of eCosway’s global online supermarket; anybody can join the system as a member through network, so as to obtain distribution license for all goods (including all goods in network shops and brick & mortar shops). Due to its complex network environment for the e-commerce and large number of its end users, eCosway requires a high standard for network safety. 

At present, eCosway is using EVOC network platform (NPC-8201) as its UTM application platform, which helps to provide the safety for its network.

System Introduction

UTM （United Threat Management） is an information security concept first put forward by IDC in September, 2004. IDC integrates anti-virus, firewalls, and invasion examinations into a new classification called United Threat Management, The concept attracted extensive attention, and brought about the birth of market segmentation in the industry, with integrated safety equipments as a typical example. UTM proposed by IDC is a kind of special purpose equipment composed of hardware, software and network technology, which mainly provides one or several safety functions, and integrates various safety features in one hardware equipment, constituting a standard united management platform.
